One could argue that in a course such as this, the students should hear about Ignatius of Antioch, Dante Alighieri, Isaac Newton, John Donne, John Milton, John Wesley, Charles Hodge, Herman Bavinck, Dorothy Sayers, J. R. R. Tolkien, George MacDonald, G. K. Chesterton, Malcolm Muggeridge, Billy Graham—the list could go on and on. Christians have participated in all walks of life and have influenced all of them. But we must have a plan that will narrow the list. My plan leads to the exclusion
